Honoring Student Voices Online: Maximizing Canvas for Student Engagement

Description: In this session, participants will learn how to put the student experience at the center of their online courses. We will describe our process for eliciting student feedback on what they need from us as instructors to be successful in our classes, then present some of our research findings and share what we have done in our own Canvas courses to meet student needs. Throughout the workshop participants will be invited to share and discuss ways of meeting student needs online. Participants will come away from the workshop with their own tool kit of strategies that they can employ in Canvas to maximize student engagement in their courses.
