Using Online Support Tools to Create Inclusive Online Learning Environments

Description: The California Virtual Campus-Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) recognizes that student success involves many aspects of support beyond instruction. For many students, success in an online course requires a skill set that is different. The CVC-OEI believes in integrating innovative technology to create an inclusive and supportive online learning environment. Online support tools help students connect with their instructors and successfully utilize online student services. Now that all CCC students have become online learners, ensuring that there is Equity in the online learning environment is crucial. This session will demonstrate how colleges create inclusive environments by providing access to online counseling, tutoring, health and wellness resources and more.
