Session Info:
Polling students in our Student Advisory Committee at Diablo Valley College, we found many were missing out on valuable services that could help them complete their pathways. Part of this is because college students are often expected to scramble around complex websites or campuses tracking down various services they need – like counseling, tutoring, career advising, and basic needs services. To further complicate things, many students aren’t sure what to look for to begin with! Learn how we adapted and reimagined online student support through a student-centered model. We’ve rolled out seven Student Centers across our two campuses based on interest areas identified through guided pathways work. Each Center brings specialized tutoring, counseling, career advising, librarian services, and more to students both online and on campus. Students can now connect to services through both Canvas and our college website. Learn from our tips, bumps in the road, and – most importantly – success stories from students and staff. Time for Q&A will be included.
