Suzanne Wakim

Suzanne is Coordinator for Distance Education, Student Learning Outcomes, and Open Educational Resources at Butte Community College. She is also a biology instructor, course designer and freelance writer. She has designed and developed over a dozen biology courses including five online courses. She has helped write numerous textbooks and learning ancillaries including content for Nature, Discovery Education, OpenStax, and Carnegie Mellon’s Open Learning Initiative. She conducts nationwide trainings on topics including Universal Design for Learning, Open Pedagogy, and Online course Design.
