Trinette Barrie, MEd, MS, MA is currently Career Center Coordinator and Counseling Faculty lead over all functions of the Career Center at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, California. She has been in the education field for over 19 years working in all four higher education systems (UC, CSU, Private, and Community) as a Director, Coordinator, Adjunct Faculty and a Career Counselor. Her leadership role has given her the ability to help people realize their true potential; by educating them on available resources to enable them to reach their educational, personal and career goals.
Trinette is a Certified Instructor for Strengths, MBTI, Holland, and New World of Work 21st Century Skills – curriculum. She was the first counseling faculty to develop and teach online counseling courses to students at Crafton Hills College. Through teaching online courses, she has learned from her own mistakes and now seeks to shed wisdom to all who have a desire to pursue online education with some level of mastery and success.
Trinette is a true inspiration to others; witty and entertaining. Her motivational speeches and trainings often leave the audience with a desire to want to make a change in their lives for the better. She seeks to inspire, educate, motivate and empower whomever she comes into contact with. She is one of the first in her family to receive her Baccalaureate Degree which is in Theatre Arts and continued on to receive her Masters of Education degree in College Student Affairs. She also completed a dual master program of Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in Marriage Family Therapy and Master of Arts in Counseling Ministries. She understands the needs of undergraduate students and their desire to enhance their knowledge, skills, and marketability in their specific career/major choice of study. Furthermore, she understands how those working with college students can be trained, motivated and inspired to continue their great work with the college population in their distinct roles. Trinette will work to ensure that the attendees will gain invaluable knowledge to help them fine tune their own skill and how to incorporate what they have learned into their professional roles.
