Online classes are key to improving access to college and degree attainment rates among California’s underrepresented student population. However, data shows that achievement gaps are exacerbated when underrepresented students learn online. This panel will consider the instructional elements that contribute to this problem and explore strategies for designing and facilitating culturally sensitive online classes that are more likely to support the success of underrepresented students.  (This session is offered at two times on Wednesday, 6/21 at 9:10am and 2pm.)
