Sarah Williams has been teaching full-time at Foothill College since 2013, including online classes in Statistics, Intermediate Algebra, and Calculus I and II. Her Ph.D. is from UC Davis (2007) in Applied Mathematics, and she taught mathematics at UNC Chapel Hill and Duke University before returning to California. Professor Williams teaches with awareness of learning disabilities and mental health concerns among students. She has also sought training in the importance of race, ethnic identity, and income disparity for community college education. She is a member of the Committee on Online Learning at Foothill, and is serving as Math Department co-chair in 2018-19.
