Dr. Kelly Falcone holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in Fitness, Nutrition, Health (2001), a Master’s degree in Kinesiology with specialization in Biomechanics (2005), a Master’s degree in Educational Technology (2012), and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership with specialization in Educational Technology (2018). Dr. Falcone started her career in higher education at Southwestern College in 2001 and was hired at Palomar College in 2004. Since starting at Palomar College Dr. Falcone has taught a variety of Kinesiology and Health courses and coached two sports until 2012. In 2014, Dr. Falcone began her role as the Professional Development (PD) Coordinator and has helped the college transition from a faculty only PD program to an inclusive all-college PD program. Dr. Falcone is active in shared governance of the college including participation on the Strategic Planning Council, the Faculty Senate, Basic Skills Committee, Learning Outcomes Council, Instructional Planning Council, Employee Wellness Committee, North County Higher Education Alliance, and North County Professional Development Federation. She is also leading the colleges textbook affordability program, helped develop the Guided Pathways plan, and works with a team of faculty to provide an annual conference focused on engaging learner-centered teaching strategies. She is a solution-focused collaborator who continually strives for creating a learning environment where all students and employees can thrive.
