What a difference a post makes. Learning, especially online learning, is enhanced through community. The use of on-line post across institutional boundaries can increase the social learning to support student engagement, enhance retention and the building of a student’s personal learning community. Thinking outside the box ( or course), bringing in a broader community has benefits for students and faculty alike. Use the social media skills students have such as followers, hashtags and post to enhance learning in your courses.
