Creating a course starting from your student learning outcomes, what is often referred to as backward design, helps to clarify the course content and create more meaningful assessment for your students.

Session Outcomes:
• Clarify the importance of Student learning outcomes in course design.
• Apply the concept of backward design to course creation.
• Analyze the value of critically examining course content and assessments in light of SLO’s.
