Our students live in a YouTube world—they turn to video to learn how to do everything from fixing a flat tire to baking a cake. What if educators could harness that power? What if our videos captured their attention and delivered a learning experience that was both entertaining and informative? If you are ready to kick your instructional videos up a notch, it’s time to learn how to use a green screen! This session will show you how to put yourself in front of any background—still image or video–through the same process the pros use, but with user-friendly software that makes the process fun and creative. Go ahead—film yourself walking on the sea floor, floating in space, giving a tour of the Louvre, or just standing in front of your lecture slides. In this session, you will learn how to use Camtasia’s latest green screen technology, consider a variety of educational uses for green screen videos, and gather a few crucial tips for success. All participants will leave with a virtual tool kit of sample videos, online tools, and filmmaking resources. (This session is offered at two times; Tuesday, 6/20 at 1:10pm and Wednesday, 6/21 at 11:20am.)
