Faculty are busier than ever, and Distance Education departments need creative ways to reach faculty who are unable to attend on-campus workshops. In this session, an Instructional Designer will show how to use Canvas tools to reach out to and support faculty teaching online. Examples will include both pedagogical and technological support resources, many of which will be available in Canvas Commons for your use. We’ll also discuss how Distance Education departments can use Canvas to establish collaborative relationships with faculty, encourage dialogue among faculty about effective teaching practices and multimedia use, and facilitate curricular processes for online course proposals.
